If there was ever a game featuring two teams heading in opposite directions, this would be the epitome of that game. The Atlanta Braves are white-hot and bring a 14-game winning streak into this contest. They will take on the Chicago Cubs, who have now lost 10 straight games. The Cubs' pitching is laughable as they have allowed an unthinkable 90 runs in the 10 games, or nine per contest. The bullpen, which is poor to begin with, is vastly overworked as the Cubs have allowed three of their last five opponents to score 12 or more runs. It's hard to see this game any other way. I like the Braves to win a low-scoring game. The Braves have allowed just 3.8 runs per game on the road, and over their last seven games overall, they've kept opponents to just 3.0 per game. Their bullpen has pitched to a 2.00 ERA on the road this season, giving up just 23 earned runs in 103.3 innings pitched. With Chicago averaging just 2.9 runs per game over their last seven, I don't expect the Cubs to score much here. Meanwhile, Keegan Thompson has been decent at home, posting a 2.61 ERA. Dating back to last season, Atlanta is 22-9 UNDER to a total between 8 and 8.5 and 52-36 UNDER on the road vs. RHP. Back the Braves and the UNDER.
