Arizona at San Diego

Arizona hits well at home but struggles on the road with a 7-10 away mark. The Diamondbacks go with lefty Robbie Ray (2-3, 4.57 ERA), who has allowed 20 hits, 14 runs, and 12 walks over his last four starts (21 innings). Arizona lost all four of those starts by an 18-9 count and Ray is 1-4 with a 4.82 ERA in five career starts against San Diego. The Diamondbacks are 7-19 when Ray starts on the road, plus 9-24 when he starts following a team loss the previous game. San Diego is home for the sixth straight game with a good arm going in 24-year old Luis Perdomo. He turned in a strong outing against Milwaukee on Monday, allowing three runs with nine strikeouts over six innings. He has recorded four consecutive quality starts since April 28 with a 3.00 ERA and 26-to-6 strikeout-to-walk ratio over that stretch. Play San Diego.
