Arizona at Los Angeles

We caught Arizona as a plus-money underdog earlier this week, and the Diamondbacks delivered a rout, an 8-0 opening statement in what's turned into a three-game road winning streak. Arizona arrives at Dodger Stadium this afternoon still riding that momentum, and the matchup breaks a little differently than the standings suggest. Zac Gallen was pulled from this start due to elbow inflammation, so the Diamondbacks turn to rookie Mitch Bratt, who has posted a clean 3.00 ERA in his brief look in the majors. On the other side, Emmet Sheehan carries a rough 4.91 ERA on the season for the Dodgers, even with a couple of quieter recent outings. Los Angeles is the far better team overall and the deserved favorite, but this is the last game before the All-Star break for a club that just wrapped a marathon homestand, and letdown spots happen even to great teams.
