Arizona at Colorado

Colorado enters today buried at the bottom of the National League, and you can't dress up a 57-101 record. But I had that same number working for me Saturday, when Colorado's plus-money price covered a 5-3 win over Seattle, and today's line looks pretty similar. Arizona is still fighting for its playoff life and hands the ball to Eduardo Rodriguez, who is chasing his 19th quality start of the season, and that record is real. So is the value gap. Rodriguez still has to pitch at altitude this afternoon, where the thin air erases the bite on secondary stuff for even the sharpest arms, and Arizona's price is built off six months of work rather than today's specific matchup. The Diamondbacks have already banked the first two games of this series, and a getaway-day start on the road, at elevation, against a team with nothing left to lose is exactly the spot where a short price gets tested.
