Milwaukee Brewers vs Toronto Blue Jays

Milwaukee has won three of four after its 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays on Monday as Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames hit homers for the Brewers, who had gone without a home run their previous five games. The Blue Jays had only four hits as they went UNDER for the fourth time in six games and they are 37-29 UNDER in 2024. Carlos Rodriguez will make his MLB debut for Milwaukee after starting 11 games for Triple-A Nashville this year. Yusei Kikuchi is 3-5 with a 3.48 ERA for Toronto, which had lost his previous seven starts before finally beating Baltimore 6-5 on Thursday. The Brewers have won five straight home games against left-handed starters and they have won six interleague home games in a row. The Blue Jays are 0-4 when Kikuchi comes off a quality start. Toronto has gone UNDER four straight road games versus teams with winning records. Take the Brewers and the UNDER.

Toronto has done their best to stay in the playoff hunt, as they play in the AL East, the toughest division in baseball. The Jays are a game below .500 on the season. Milwaukee is 38-27 on the season, and they wwill open the homestand off of taking two of three from the Tigers. The Brewers have just one loss in their last 11 games not counting the scorching hot Phillies who are beating everyone. This is a tough spot for the Jays as they will face Colin Rea. Rea has gone 10-3 for the Brewers in his last 13 decisions. Toronto will turn to Jose Berrios who is a pedestrian 2-2 facing the Breweres. I like the pitching matchup in this one, and will go with Milwaukee.

Milwaukee somehow continues to stay atop the NL Central, but it's due to a weak division as the Brewers are only two games over .500 and have lost four of their past five, including 7-2 against the Blue Jays on Tuesday night as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Alejandro Kirk each had three hits for Toronto, which banged out 14 hits in winning for the third time in four games. Julio Teheran does not have a good history against the Blue Jays with a 7.66 ERA in five career starts. The Brewers continue to deal with several injuries and they are just 12-14 on the road. The Blue Jays are 14-9 at home this season and Toronto has won 21 of 27 interleague home games. Milwaukee has lost 10 of 14 after giving up at least five runs its previous game.
