San Diego goes for seven in a row after defeating the Marlins 6-2 as Manny Machado hit an RBI double in the eighth and a two-run double in the Padres' four-run 10th. San Diego has scored 38 runs its past five games. Miami has lost four of five while allowing 38 runs in that span. The Marlins have lost five of Roddery Munoz's past six starts and he allowed six runs (four earned) in 3 2/3 innings against Cincinnati on Monday. The Padres have won Matt Waldron's past three starts and he already has pitched seven shutout innings on six hits in one appearance against the Marlins this year.
