The Minnesota Twins have really gone into a meltdown late in the season. They have been in playoff position pretty much al season, but they trail the Tigers and Royals now by two games for the final AL Wild Card. The sad truth is Minnesota fell apart over their last 40 games by going 13-27. They are lucky to even still be in the running. The Miami Marlins have been awful against lefthanded pitching where they are 11-45 overall and 4-24 on the road. They will face a right handed starter tonight. They have actually been a pretty decent team on the road against a right-hander, as they are 24-25. This is the best role for the Marlins all season, and the Twins are hurting. Make the play on Miami.

Premium Picks
Miami at Minnesota
Minnesota is one game behind a wild-card spot following a 2-5 road trip and a doubleheader loss at Boston on Sunday. The Twins are hoping home cooking will get them back on track as they face the Marlins, who are one game from losing their 100th of the season. Bailey Ober is 12-7 with a 0.97 WHIP and he allowed two runs on four hits in seven innings his last outing against Cleveland on Wednesday. Ober had a rough month of August, but he has returned to form in September with a 2.70 ERA while giving up eight runs on 12 hits in 26 2/3 innings. Miami has lost seven of nine and it has allowed 51 runs its past six games. Ryan Weathers will start and he allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings. Minnesota has won 67 of 81 home games as a favorite of at least -201. Take the Twins.
