Mitch Spence has made one appearance against the Royals this year and gave up a run on five hits in 4 2/3 innings. The Royals have lost two of Seth Lugo's past three starts and he has allowed 11 runs on 20 hits in 19 innings. Oakland is 8-2 UNDER its past 10 games as a home underdog and 8-2 UNDER at home against teams with losing road records. The Kansas City Royals and Oakland A's had something in common last season. They both lost well over 100 games. Things have not changed much for Oakland who enters this game at 27-48. Oakland won last night snapping a nine game losing streak, and I think they may feel relieved of the pressure and not be nearly as ready tonight. The Royals are off four huge series, as they just finished with the Dodgers, Yankees, Seattle, and Cleveland.
