Typically, in these doubleheaders, the manager will rest several starters in the 2nd game. Combine that with the fact that the Tigers don't play here often, and with Colorado being at home, where they have a unique ballpark that gives opposing pitchers a hard time with the way the ball flies out of the park in the high altitude of Denver. The Rockies will not have a good season, but they are better than we have seen, especially at home. Make the play on Colorado.

Game 1 of this series was postponed on Tuesday due to weather. They plan to make it up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday. For today, I'm jumping on the home dog to grab a much-needed win. The Colorado Rockies are 6-28 on the season, but a lot of that has come on the road, where they are 2-17. The Tigers have been playing solid baseball at 22-13. That is good enough to hold the lead in the AL Central. Jackson Jobe (2-0, 3.38 ERA) has gotten his big league career in Detroit off to a good start, but this will be his first game at Coors Field. I like Colorado at plus money.

Jackson Jobe has gotten his big league career in Detroit off to a good start as he is 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA. He has never pitched in Coors Field, and this will be a huge challenge. The Rockies will be glad to be home to open a six-game home stand. This will be the Tigers third city in Game 8 of a 10-game road trip. I like Colorado in this one.
