Cleveland Guardians vs Seattle Mariners

Cleveland got back on the winning track with a convincing 8-0 victory over the Mariners on Wednesday as Josh Naylor hit a two-run homer, a solo shot, and an RBI single while Seattle was held to three hits. Both teams are in first place in their respective divisions, but the Guardians are 22-9 at home and the Mariners are just 17-20 on the road. Cleveland is 7-1 in Logan Allen's past eight starts against AL West teams and he has allowed just three runs on seven hits in 11 innings his past two starts against Miami and Toronto. Allen is 2-0 with a 1.96 ERA in three day games this season. The Guardians have the best bullpen in the American League with a 0.98 WHIP and 25 saves. Seattle is 5-0 UNDER versus teams that allowed two or fewer runs their previous game and Luis Castillo has gone UNDER four of five starts as a road underdog. Cleveland's pitching is seventh in the majors (3.55 ERA), while the offense is eighth in runs scored, ninth in on-base percentage, and 13th in slugging. Tanner Bibee has 87 Ks in 75+ innings while holding batters to a .236 average. The team is 11-3 in his 14 starts. The Seattle Mariners and Cleveland Guardians are both playoff caliber teams. The Guardians are 44-25 on the season. They should get a bump this evening as they come off a 4-4 road trip. I think Cleveland will be re-energized at home. Seattle has played well especially at home in their last homestand where they went 6-1. I think Seattle is getting too much oddsmaker support.
