Detroit got a rare win over the Indians last out, who have tormented the Tigers the last several seasons, but I look for Cleveland to bounce back on Sunday with Triston McKenzie starting and coming off of two good performances while allowing five runs on nine hits in 13 innings against Toronto and Oakland, although not getting much run support in both. McKenzie faced the Tigers once this year and pitched five scoreless innings on one hit. Drew Hutchison goes for Detroit, and it will be his first Major League appearance since 2018 after compiling an 8-3 record with a 3.63 ERA with Toledo this season. Cleveland is 39-15 the past 54 meetings at Detroit and 60-18 against the Tigers overall. Take the Indians.

The Tigers will go with Wily Peralta tonight and although he got off to a good start with his new team, the right-hander has stumbled lately allowing 18 runs (14 earned) on 23 hits in 18 2/3 innings. Peralta made it through five innings against Cleveland on Sunday while giving up five runs on six hits in a 7-5 loss. The Indians beat the Tigers again last night 7-4 as rookie Ernie Clement hit his first two major league home runs.
