Chicago Cubs vs New York Yankees

Chicago bounced back nicely from Friday's 11-0 loss with a 5-2 win as Matthew Boyd pitched eight hitless innings and halted New York's five-game win streak. Now the Cubs have Shota Imanaga going today and he has only allowed seven runs his past five starts in 27 innings pitched and the Cubs won three of them. The Yankees will be seeing him for the first time. The Cubs are 10-2 in Imanaga's past 12 starts against teams with winning records and the Yankees have lost four of five versus left-handed starters. New York has lost five of six following a loss. Will Warren goes for the Yanks and he comes off 5 2/3 scoreless innings against Seattle. However, his previous outing was a disaster as he was touched for eight runs on 10 hits in four innings against Toronto. The UNDER is 5-0 in Imanaga's past five Sunday starts and the Yankees are 4-0-1 UNDER against southpaw starters. Chicago has gone UNDER five of six road games. Take the Cubs and the UNDER.

The Chicago Cubs have a two-game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central. The Cubs head to New York to take on the Yankees in what should be a good series. While the offenses are both potent, the pitching matchup is top shelf. The Yankees send out Carlos Rodon. Rodon is looking to become a 10-game winner in his last start before the break. Rodon has limited hitters to a collective .187 batting average against him this season. The Cubs will go with Chris Flexen, and he has been all but unhittable on the season. This will be his first start, but he has put together a 5-0 record on the season with a tiny 0.83 ERA. This game should be all about pitching. Make the play UNDER the total.

New York has won the first two games of this series, 3-0 and 2-0. The pitching staff is ninth in ERA (3.83) with Gerrit Cole (3.65 ERA) on the mound in this one. They're on an 8-4 run UNDER the total on the road. Chicago's pitching is seventh in ERA (3.76) but they've lost four of five getting shut out three times. Jameson Taillon has a 2.64 ERA at home and the bullpen is ninth in ERA (3.74). With the Yankees on a 5-0 run UNDER the total in interleague action, look for more defense than offense again.
