Arizona Diamondbacks vs Los Angeles Dodgers

Arizona has played to a 12-5-1 mark to the under in their last 18 games, and none of their past four games have gotten over the posted total. The offense has been limited to just six total runs in the four games, while the pitching has allowed an average of four. Los Angeles is doing its usual postseason swoon and will have to depend on Lance Lynn to avoid being swept by Arizona, which has won all four of its playoff games while scoring 26 runs. The Diamondbacks again got off to a great start in Game 2 scoring three in the first on their way to a 4-2 victory on Monday, and the Dodgers were held to eight hits. Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman were a combined 1-for-13 with three walks in the first two games of the series. Lynn had a 5.73 ERA this year although he did pitch well his last four starts of the regular season. Los Angeles has made a habit the past decade or so of cruising through the regular season and then crashing in the playoffs and it got off to a similar start on Saturday when Arizona knocked out Clayton Kershaw in the first inning on its way to an 11-2 victory in Game 1 of the NL Division Series. The Diamondbacks already were off a two-game sweep of Milwaukee on the road and they are getting hot at the right time while getting great pitching. Arizona has allowed only seven runs in three postseason games and they have Zac Gallen going tonight and he is 17-9 with a 3.47 ERA and 1.12 WHIP this season. Gallen has allowed only four runs his past three starts in 18 1/3 innings and he has a 3.48 ERA and 1.09 WHIP in his career against the Dodgers. Bobby Miller has a 1.42 WHIP in two outings against Arizona. All the pressure is on Los Angeles to not get eliminated by a wild-card opponent as it did against San Diego last year.
