Top pick: #7 (FLYING ARCH) - Speedy daughter of "Arch" has been freshened-up since tiring after setting the pace going longer on the main surface July 22. Working fast for her return, trainer Josie Carroll will cut her back to a sprint and this home-bred runs for a strong trainer/rider combo (30%). Three-year-old can take this at a nice price.

nd pick: #1a (Chinook Wind) - On the sidelines since running third at Keeneland going longer in late April this Irish-bred filly has talent, is working very fast for her return, and trainer Roger Attfield has her set for a big effort.

rd pick: #2 (Crimson Spire) - Daughter of "Gone West" raced evenly when debuting here in a 7 furlong contest on the grass on August 10. Home-bred from the famous Sam-Son Farm has worked twice since and normal second-out improvement makes her a threat.

th pick: #9 (Sweet Cassiopeia) - The main speed is improving and just failed to hold on last out in a sprint on the main track. Home-bred by "Five Star Day" should handle the grass and her speed makes her dangerous.

th pick: #1 (Lode Lady) - Filly was improving rapidly last fall and just missed at this level going a mile on this course Oct. 23. On the shelf since, daughter of "Posse" is working steadily and is a threat if she's at 100% for her come-backer.
