Top pick: #6 (STREET CANDY) (6-1) - She continues to finish within range despite having legitimate excuses in all five starts. Latest saw her race evenly after being pushed out at the break. Nicely bred filly has a shot at a square price with a trouble free getaway.
2nd pick: #4 (Fu Peggi Sue) (2-1) - The probable favorite, "Peggi" enters in shape and this shorter trip is a plus. Speed/stalker is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #9 (Worldly Pirate) (5-2) - Speedy filly has been sharp in both local starts since coming here from Golden Gate Fields in the late fall. Filly draws a tough post in this abbreviated sprint but has enough gate speed to not let it hurt her chances.
4th pick: #1 (Carolina Honor) (15-1) - Well bred mare tired here at this level going 6-furlongs on Jan. 14. It was her first since Sept. 1, of 2013 and she probably needed the start. Brought back quickly, she has the rail and shortens up in distance.
