The probable favorite, he's dropping a bit after finishing close up facing tougher Oct. 17th. English import has a fine record on this course (9-3-4-0) and can take this with a trouble free trip.
2nd pick: #4 (The Spinmeister) (7-2) - The second of the Diodoro pair, he's making his grass debut in this spot. Speed/stalker ships from Northlands Park where he went 5-2-1-1 on the dirt since early August. He's bred for the turf and is dangerous.
3rd pick: #5 (Tequila Factor) (4-1) - Veteran missed by a 'head' here at this level Oct. 23rd. 7yo defeated some of today's rivals in the process and is an obvious contender with a repeat of that effort.
4th pick: #3 (Dr Tuff) (5-1) - Speedy 8yo has won 11 of 32 on dirt and was sharp here last winter/spring in a pair of turf races. From a capable barn (Dru Hall), this Idaho bred should be involved from start-to-finish.
5th pick: #6 (Scorcher) (12-1) - Longshot was almost five lengths behind 'Tequila Factor' in his first race in almost 3.5 months. He has a good record on this course (8-2-1-3) and can factor at a big price with his best.
