Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (BRANDO THE BIRDMAN) (7-2) - Consistent sort has a solid record when racing on conventional dirt 13-4-1-3. He's dropping down in class after an even effort here in an entry-level allowance Dec 19. I like his chances, but admit I know little about rider Stillion.
2nd pick: #3 (Skydreamin) (6-5) - The probable favorite, he's won three in a row at the meet and is five for seven lifetime at Turf Paradise on the dirt. One-run type is in career best form and is a strong win candidate at a short price.
3rd pick: #7 (Touch the Sun) (8-1) - A 17 time winner overall, 13 of those have come on conventional dirt. His form went bad in the late spring of last year and he ran poorly in a comebacker July 14. On the sidelines since, he has a trio of impressive local works showing.
4th pick: #2 (Mind the Master) (6-1) - Grey gelding is dropping in class and shortening up in distance. Most all his success has come on the grass and believe a small slice is his ceiling.
