TO WIN: MONTFORD RIDGE Gelding dropped to this level after being pitched way too high in his recent starts. In that race he made a three wide middle move then closed fast through the final furlong and was gaining on the winner. That was an impressive sustained run in his first start off a ten week break and he is sitting on a win. Although raced mainly on turf he is just as effective on the main track. Trainer Kirk Ziadie continues to win at a 39% clip for the meet.
