#8 CHAPUNKY (2/1) 4yo gelding is the type of lightly raced runner with a will to win that can feast on low level conditioned claimers. Most of these races are populated by many time losers as is this one. Chapunky badly needed his 1st race of the year after 6 months on the sidelines but looked very sharp dominating "two lifers" for this tag. He won with gas left in the tank and can continue to improve. Trainer Vince Reedy wins at a 20% clip with his small barn and is especially strong with last out winners.
