Premium Pick

Top pick: #1 (BALL DANCING) (5-1) - One of two entered by trainer Chad Brown and the pair race uncoupled. This filly spent the first part of her career in France before coming back to North America last fall. She was sharp in both races at that time and was beaten less than a length in the important 'QEII Cup' (G1) at Keeneland Oct 11. Training well at Palm Meadows and she can cause a mild upset with her best.

2nd pick: #9 (Filimbi) (5-2) - Grey mare went 6-3-1-1 in 2014 after spending her first year racing in France. Strong finisher rallied to win the G2 "Goldikova" stakes at Santa Anita on Nov. 2 and has been on the sidelines since. A strong win candidate if ready.

3rd pick: #2 (Stephanie's Kitten) (2-1) - The probable favorite, she's the second of the Chad Brown runners. Multiple G1 winner has won $2.6m during her career and her grass record is outstanding 16-7-3-2. Another strong finisher, she's an obvious win candidate at a short price.

4th pick: #5 (Lots o'Lex) (20-1) - In a field with a lot of stretch runners, this lightly raced filly appears to be the main speed. Much improved since switching to the grass, she comes off a strong pace-setting effort here in a G3 stakes Jan. 31. Will take them as far as she can.

5th pick: #4 (Principessa Ava) (20-1) - Interesting longshot, Iris import has been sharp in 4-of-5 starts since coming across the Atlantic last spring. She has a recency edge on the top three selections and can be competitive at a very big price.
