Premium Pick

Top pick: #7 (AUTHENCITY) (7-5) - After finishing second here in an entry-level allowance on July 28th of 2011, this mare by "Quiet American" was injured and did not race again until this past Jan. at Gulfstream. She's gone 5-2-2-10 since coming back, and won the "La Troienne" stakes (G2) at Churchill on May 3rd, then was beaten a 1/2 length last out in the (G1) "Ogden Phipps Hdcp" at Belmont on May 27th. Speed/stalker has been freshened up for almost seven weeks and is training sharply for this attempt.

2nd pick: #6 (Summer Applause) (5-2) - Competitive sort (11-5-2-0) has won two of her last three starts, both stakes, and last out at Pimlico was an easy winner of the Allaire Dupont Distaff" (G3) on the Preakness under-card. Training nicely and her tactical speed is a big plus.

3rd pick: #1 (Royal Lahaina) (15-1) - Longshot has a fine record racing on conventional dirt (17-6-4-2), and beceme a stakes winner at Belmont on June 3rd when she won the $100K "Mariensky" stakes when it was switched to the main track. Has the rail, positional speed, and that latest was a career best from a "figure" prospective.

4th pick: #2 (Flashy American) (12-1) - She's another with a fine record on real dirt (14-5-2-2), and grey filly became a stakes winner at Prairie Meadows on June 28th when she was an easy winner in the $102K "Iowa Distaff." Capable of getting a share at a big price.
