Top pick: #2 (KISS ME LOLA) (4-1) - Stalker rallied to finish second here at this level and distance July 18 and that ran her local mark to 3-1-2-0. She should get a solid pace to track and can take this if she can avoid traffic trouble while racing along the inside in this large field.

nd pick: #1 (Richie's Sweetheart) (3-1) - Illinois bred shipper comes in from Arlington Park where she set a track record for 5-furlongs on the grass July 12th. It was her first ever on the turf, earned a career best figure, and her Chicago-based trainer (Larry Rivelli) has won here in the past. She has the rail and it's duly noted that J.J. Castellano is aboard. This 3-year-old's task was made easier with the scratch of speedball #11 "Insolvent."

rd pick: #12 (Mizzen Moon) (12-1) - Her post is an issue, but this improving filly by "Mizzen Mast" ships in from Ellis Park where she broke her maiden in easy fashion in fast time at this 5.5-furlong distance. It was her second back off a three month vacation and trainer Brad Cox has done well at 8-1-2-1 at this highly competitive meet.

th pick: #10 (Ballerina Belle) (7-2) - She exits the same last race as "Lola" and was only a length back of her at the finish. She's been competitive in all her grass sprints (4-1-2-1) and can factor if she avoids a wide journey.

th pick: #6 (Orient Harbor) (8-1) - Lightly raced, well bred, and still improving, she broke her maiden here on July 24t at this trip with a strong late rally. Much improved since blinkers were added and Hall of Famer "Shug" McGaughey brings her back quickly for this attempt.
