It was his first since June 16 and longshot enters off a bullet 5 furlong breeze on the training track turf course Aug 20. He'll be far back early, but $320,000 son of 'Scat Daddy' should get a very fast pace to rally into. Colt has a good chance at a big price.
2nd pick: #8 (Irish Territory) (15-1) - Lightly raced longshot is working fast and runs with blinkers on in his first since June 2. Stakes placed here as a 2yo last year, he fits with his best and is dangerous at a big price.
3rd pick: #7 (Have At It) (9-2) - Home bred by 'Kitten's Joy' raced very wide while never involved in the local Hall of Fame Stakes (G2) Aug 3. Much sharper in 3 of 4 on the grass prior to that, look for a better effort in this spot.
4th pick: #1 (Strike Power) (9-2) - Very fast from the gate, he's working fast and will be making his grass debut. Bred for the surface switch, expect him to break on top and he's a win candidate if left alone in the first half-mile.
5th pick: #6 (Corot) (8-1) - He's taking on winners and is racing on the grass both for the first time. Very expensive ($925,000) son of 'Pioneer of the Nile' has been bet heavily in all four starts and it'of interest that Javier Castellano, who had other options is aboard.
