3rd pick: #2 (Orsay) (3-1) - This daughter of 'American Pharoah' sold for $1,200,000 last August and debuts for trainer Chad Brown, 21% (51 of 243) first out in 2018-19. Working steadily locally since July 21, all six published drills are well above average.
4th pick: #9 (Impeccable Style) (12-1) - A daughter of 'Uncle Mo,' she has some sharp works showing for her debut, but trainer Ken McPeek is not known for first out success (5%). Mixed signals.
5th pick: #4 (One Time Around) (15-1) - She raced both wide and evenly when finishing 4th of nine, beaten just over seven lengths going 5.5 furlongs here July 31. The race had an impressive winner by 5.5 lengths, so this $400K purchase wasn't far off the place spot.
