Colt did not have a comfortable trip but dug in and rallied after racing between horses for most of the distance. Consistent sort can win this at a square price.
2nd pick: #6 (Honorable Hero) (10-1) - Longshot moves back in with fellow state breds after a series of good efforts facing 'open' claimers. He's gone 5-0-2-2 during that span and this speed/stalker should be involved every step at a big price.
3rd pick: #8 (Six Percent) (9-2) - This home bred colt is moving to the grass and is facing winners, both for the first time. He rallied to break his maiden going a mile on the dirt at Belmont June 16 while earning the highest last out figure of any entered. Stretch runner is from a very good barn (Brad Cox), Castellano stays aboard, and he's a late threat if he handles the grass.
