A filly by 'Into Mischief', she broke her maiden here going 6.5 furlongs Aug 29 in her second start, then finished second in a $150K stakes Sep 19 at Belmont going 7 furlongs. Sent in for a bit over an 8-month layoff, she rallied from close range to check in 2nd at this level in here return May 27 at Belmont. Trainer Chad Brown has worked her a half-dozen times here since June 16 with five of those being well above average. She gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Makin Out) (5-1) - A lightly raced 4yo, she was an impressive 8.5 length winner here going 6.5 furlongs Aug. 22 to pick up her maiden victory. She then finished a troubled fourth at this level Sept. 21 at Belmont and hasn't raced since. Working way above average, she has the rail and is a win candidate if ready.
3rd pick: #5 (Flashpackinbarbie) (4-1) - A home bred by 'Munnings', she's been freshened up since a very sharp debut April 6 at Aqueduct. Bet down to 2-1 favoritism, she broke sharply, rated just off a quick pace, went to the front when asked, then drew away to score by just over 8 lengths earning the second highest figure any of these has reached. She's breezed here five times since June 22 and trainer Jorge Abreu is having a fine meet 12-3-3-1.
4th pick: #6 (Cash Offer) (5-1) - This speedy filly has gone 4-1-3-0 since coming from the West Coast to race against fellow New York breds. Stakes placed daughter of 'Shackleford' finished a pace-setting second at this level July 6 at Belmont and should be involved from gate-to-wire.
