2nd pick: #7 (Gio Lucky) (6-1) - Stalker tired here going 6.5 furlongs in the mud for a $20K tag Aug. 3. It was his first since breaking his maiden at Belmont June 14 and I like that he's brought back in 6 days for this attempt.
3rd pick: #6 (Desert Lights) (5-1) - Very lightly-raced, he broke his maiden at this distance May 27 at Belmont in a contest that was taken 'off the turf'. Even paced facing tougher July 13 on the Belmont turf, he's well spotted and has a pair of local works on view for this attempt. Must be left in the mix.
