2nd pick: #5 (Anazara) (6-1) - Well bet in both starts, daughter of 'Speightstown' finished a strong third when debuting at this level and distance May 6 at Belmont. Switched to the turf by Bill Mott June 17, she tired while wide after breaking from an outside post (10th of 11). Working fast since the filly is back on the dirt and is dangerous at a square price.
3rd pick: #4 (Gifted Lady) (12-1) - Well bred and expensive ($725,000) 4-year-old has proved a big disappointment. She has early speed, is switching from turf to dirt, and has some fast breezes on view for her first since Nov. 16. She may get a slice at a big price if ready.
4th pick: #2 (Miss Vinegar) (20-1) - Longshot tired when debuting in late October at Churchill Downs. The race had a strong field and this daughter of 'Malibu Moon' received some betting support. Her latest three a.m. drills are on the very quick side and think she'll be sent hard at the break. Three-year-old may get a share at a huge price.
