2nd pick: #3 (Binary) (5-1) - Blinkers go on this $250,000 son of 'Into Mischief' after he raced evenly while having some traffic issues while finishing 4th when debuting here July 21. He's worked four times since, and leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. stays aboard.
3rd pick: #2 (Complexity) (9-5) - One of two entered by leading trainer Chad Brown, and the pair race uncoupled. This $375,000 purchase is bred for speed, has some sharp local works showing, and he has the rail. Barn wins at an 18% clip first out and at a 28% rate when teamed up with jockey Jose Ortiz.
4th pick: #1 (Southern Phantom) (7-2) - Colt shortens up a bit after finishing a pace-chasing 3rd here at this level going seven furlongs Aug. 11. He came back with a bullet half-mile breeze a week ago and must be left in the mix today.
