Top pick: #2 (DOUGIE) - Probably best last out as he was pinned down on the inside during the stretch run and had to steady right before the wire before finishing 2nd, beaten a 1/2 length. Looks all set to get his diploma today.
2nd pick: #7 (Hear the Footsteps) - Hails from the barn of Linda Rice and she specislizes in these turf sprints. Gelding had to be sent hard last out from an inside post and tired late to finish 3rd to his entry-mate. Moves off the inside and he's a strong win threat.
3rd pick: #4 (Payout) - Hot barn (Chaed Brown) sends out tis son of "Johannesburg" for his first start since he debuted last November at Aqueduct. Colt chased and tired that day and if ready off the break he could impact the exotics.
4th pick: #10 (Dirt Track Demon) - Has excellent early speed and will presumably be sent hard in an attempt to clear. If he can't, he'll be forced into a wide and probably "fruitless" trip.
