She's worked five since, has the rail, meets a weak group for the level, and Javier Castellano stays aboard.
2nd pick: #3 (Doll Collection) (3-1) - A home bred daughter of 'Tapit', she ships from Kentucky where she finished 2nd of 11, beaten just over 4 lengths going a mile at this level June 15. Filly raced close to a quick pace and is cutting back in distance for this attempt. Trainer Ralph Nicks breezed her 3 furlongs here July 20 and 3yo is a threat.
3rd pick: #5 (Bossy Bride) (6-1) - A $135,000 filly by 'Malibu Moon', she began her career in the barn of Todd Pletcher but is now with Mike Trombetta. She missed by a 'nose' going 5.5 furlongs June 14 at Laurel in her first start since Nov. 24, then finished a wide and even fourth at Belmont going 6.5 furlongs July 7. She worked a quick 3 furlongs on the local training track July 24 and it's noted that Jose Ortiz is aboard for this attempt.
4th pick: #7 (Quasar) (5-1) - Blinkers go on this $250K daughter of 'Orb' who finished seventh of eight, missing by 4.5 lengths here in a grass sprint July 13. She had checked in second in her previous pair sprinting on the dirt and stalker should be closing in the final furlong.
