He'd been improving noticeably in Kentucky before shipping here and has since come back with a trio of blazing local works. Mike Smith is brought in for the ride and this colt can take this at a big price.
2nd pick: #6 (Alpha) - Always highly thought of, he showed talent last year as a 2-year-old and missed by a neck this past April at Aqueduct when he was probably best in the (G1) Wood Memorial. Freshened up for almost three months after a troubled trip in the Kentucky Derby, he went wire-to-wire here July 28th in the Jim Dandy (G1). Working fine since and a win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Street Life) - Strong finisher took the $100K Curlin Stakes here going 9 furlongs July 27th in his first race since checking-in fourth June 9th in the Belmont Stakes (G1). Working fast for this and a stretch threat for the top prize.
