Trainer Chad Brown has worked him five times since then, including a half-mile on the training tack turf here July 1. I like his chances.
2nd pick: #3 (Nutzforboltz) (8-1) - Longshot stretches out after a wide and even effort sprinting at this level June 9. It was a useful outing in his first start in seven months, and he enters off a pair of very fast works. He's a win candidate at a square price.
3rd pick: #4 (Monaghan) (8-1) - This strong finisher has won two of tree since switching to the grass. He defeated $30K 'open' claimers at the 2l condition June 22 at Belmont and is nicely spotted in this first-level allowance facing fellow state breds.
4th pick: #5 (Risky Sour) (20-1) - Longshot was only about two lengths in back of 'Monaghan' last out and is capable of getting a slice of this at a very big price.
