Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (GREEN LIGHT GO) (2-1) - Stronach home bred has won both starts by daylight and was a convincing winner here in the Saratoga Special (G2) going 6.5 furlongs Aug. 17. He worked a bullet half-mile Aug. 27 and will be tough in this spot. Note: He, just like all seven entered, is racing on an 'off' track for the first time.
2nd pick: #4 (Godzilla) (5-2) - He's one of three entered by Steve Asmussen, and they all race as separate betting interests. Reported to be a runner before his debut here Aug. 10, he was a gate-to-wire winner by 4.5 lengths that day going six furlongs in a swift 1:09.60. An obvious threat.
3rd pick: #7 (Basin) (9-2) - Another of the Asmussen trio, he missed by a 'nose' debuting June 14 at Churchill Downs, then broke his maiden here July 21. His finishing time was 1:09.80 and his outside post will give jockey Jose Ortiz some important early options.
4th pick: #5 (By Your Side) (6-1) - This $240,000 purchase has won both starts, including a three-length win in the local Sanford Stakes (G3) July 13. It's noted he defeated 'Basin' by a 'nose' at Churchill June 14 and must be left in the mix today.
