Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (MIKE'S GIRL) (5-2) - She's finished second in three straight grass sprints at this level, Daughter of 'Scat Daddy' was probably 'best' last out after being bumped at the break and forced to rally while wide. 3yo has much more speed than shown that afternoon and can win this with a trouble free beginning.
2nd pick: #5 (Winifred J) (3-1) - A daughter of 'Blam' she finished 3rd here July 13 and was only a 'neck' behind 'Mike's Girl' in her first race since Feb. 3. It's interesting that she was claimed by her breeder for $40K last out and runs today off a trainer change to Jeremiah Englehart. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Abby Normal) (6-1) - Stretch runner has made up ground in three straight and was beaten 3 lengths here at this level and distance July 28. A late threat, but she may be better suited to a 7 furlong contest on the Belmont turf. Not impossible.
4th pick: #4 (Mz Seb Pat) (8-1) - She's finished second in two of three at this level since coming off a 6.5 month layoff June 12. Last out she had a very wide trip when checking in 3 back of 'Mike's Girl'. In the mix.
