(# 1) JUPITER'S STONE - Freshened up for almost two months by trainer Ron McAnally, this colt has run well in the majority of his grass races. Working well for the return, he draws a fine ground-saving post from which to launch a late rally.

(# 8) Palladian General - Probable favorite, ran very well in his only turf race at Del Mar in August. Freshened up since, he is working extremely well for the return run. Very dangerous opponent. Would be surprised if neither of the top two selections wins this.

(# 6) Royal Vision - As a son of "Unusual Heat" he should turf well, and in fact his only grass race in three starts was his best effort. Positive jockey switch to Nakatani is duly noted.

(# 5) Da Benchy - Stretches out off a sprint, and also switches surfaces for this. Took some money in initial pair of races before going to the sidelines. Should be a square price.
