Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (INDOCTRINATION) (7-2) - Irish import has been on the sidelines since Aug. 29 at Del Mar when he finished second at this level. It was his first race in 7.5 months and was his first in a claimer. He has a speed/stalking style, is working steadily, and can win this if ready
2nd pick: #8 (Dawood) (10-1) - Longshot has been unraced since Nov. 17 and returns as a NEW gelding. The 4yo sold for $675,000 as a yearling back in 2016 and has a fine series of stamina building works showing for his return.
3rd pick: #10 (Aussie Fox) (4-1) - Blinkers go on 5yo who has broken poorly in two straight starts. He's made up ground in each, but that's a bad habit that's often hard to get rid of. Prior to that pair he had finished second in three straight at this level and could win this with a better beginning.
4th pick: #4 (Zorich) (12-1) - Another NEW gelding, he's racing first off a Mark Glatt claim (a 25% angle) and is another who has broken poorly in both starts. He worked five times here during March and and he's a late threat at long odds with an alert break.
5th pick: #1 (Scrambled) (8-1) - From the same barn (Phil D'Amato) as 'Indoctrination', he finished third here at this level going 6.5 furlongs in an 'off the turf' contest Feb. 14. Only his second start, it was his first since debuting Jan. 7 of 2018. He has the rail and may get a share at a big price.
