2nd pick: #9 (Justonetimebaby) (2-1) - Dangerous foe, he tired in a well backed debut here going down the hill on the grass facing tougher. Trainer Rich Baltas drops him in class, switches him to the dirt, and removes his blinkers. The presence of Bejarano indicates the barn likes this one's chances. Win candidate in what looks like a two horse race on paper.
3rd pick: #4 (Ajac) (6-1) - He returns off a very long layoff (11 months) as a NEW gelding. Five-year-old has been competitive in five of six previous races on conventional dirt and all came against better. However, this race drew tough for the level and one of the top two selections are much more likely to win this.
4th pick: #2 (Arch Kisser) (12-1) - Golden Gate shipper has finished second there on the Tapeta surface facing weaker in both starts. Gelding has some speed and may hold down a share at a big price if he can handle the conventional dirt.
