Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (LILY POD) (7-2) - Filly enters off a very wide 4th place finish at this level going six furlongs at Los Alamitos Dec. 13th. Lightly raced 4yo had a tough outside post that day and has worked fast since. She draws outside again, but at this 6.5-furlong trip, it's a plus.
2nd pick: #8 (Sheer PLeasure) (3-1) - She's a double stakes winner here on the dirt and has placed in several others. Stalker has been on the sidelines since late July, but is working very fast for her return. An obvious win candidate and the probable favorite.
3rd pick: #6 (My Fiona) (6-1) - She banked $358K as a 2yo in 2014 and won a $200K stake here going seven furlongs in late October of that year. She only made one start last year and checked in a non-threatening 4th here at this level June 14. On the sidelines again for almost seven months, she obviously has some issues. Needs to be at her best.
4th pick: #7 (Call to Congrats) (8-1) - One run type has been freshened up since Nov. 21st when she finished a pace-chasing 2nd at this level and distance at Del Mar. Can factor, but one of top two picks is more likely to win this.
