Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (GOLDRUSHCAT) (5-2) - Daughter of 'Broken Vow' has been competitive in all four of her starts. All have been at this claiming price sprinting on the dirt. In her latest effort she rallied from close range while a bit wide to finish second here going 6.5 furlongs March 3. Stalker has worked twice since, shortens up a furlong, and breaks just off the rail.
2nd pick: #1 (Spark Plug Katie) (6-1) - Un-raced since late May, daughter of 'Derby' winner 'Giacomo' raced evenly here when debuting facing special weights going 4.5 furlongs. Trainer Jeff Mullins has her working fast and he's dropping her down in class. Price play if ready.
3rd pick: #9 (Esmeralda Belle) (4-1) - Filly raced evenly while checking in a non-threatening fourth here for a $50K tag March 24. It was her first start since July 2 and she most likely need the effort. Barn brings her back quickly, drops her to a new low, and ads blinkers.
4th pick: #3 (Lady's Discretion) (7-2) - Lightly-raced Louisiana bred has shown sharp early speed before tiring in her first two appearances. She shaded :45 last out in the first half mile and that should have her involved turning for home. From there she needs to do better.
