Daughter of 'Distorted Humor' was an easy maiden winner when debuting in a Del Mar dirt sprint Sept 6. Bred for the grass and for this distance, she may have a bright future.
2nd pick: #5 (Jakaby Jade) (4-1) - English bred rallied strongly to win the $100K Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf Stakes at this distance Sept 7. It was her first in North America after a maiden win in England in late July. Working fast for this and an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #8 (Imflatoutsweet) (5-1) - One of two entered by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer, filly had a wide trip last out when finishing three lengths behind 'Jakaby Jade.' She had won her grass debut in her previous start and stalker races with blinkers.
4th pick: #11 (Optimism and Hope) (12-1) - Her outside post hurts her overall chances. Irish bred made up some ground last out in the stakes won by 'Jakoby Jade' following a slow start. She probably has more talent to show , but needs an alert break and some help avoiding a wide trip.
