Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (RIDEO) (7-2) - Lightly raced 3yo has been training above average for his first since Aug. 18th. He ran evenly that day at Del Mar following a bit of a slow break. He broke his maiden there going seven furlongs in his previous race, and trainer Doug O'Neill is cutting his claiming price in half.
2nd pick: #7 (Etailer ) (9-2) - An uncoupled stable-mate of 'Rideo,' he ships from Los Alamitos where he missed by less than a length going five furlongs for an $8,000 price tag Sept. 22nd. Steady sort is back in shape following a 5.5-month layoff and is a win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #10 (Redneck Crazy) (4-1) - Stalker drops a bit after being competitive in three of his last four facing a bit tougher. Colt draws a fine outside post and must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #2 (Boompa) (4-1) - He's been at this 2l condition for a very long time. One run type has gone 5-0-3-2 this year since coming back from almost a half year's absence April 10. An obvious contender with his normal effort.
5th pick: #1 (H R Express) (30-1) - Huge longshot was beaten by three lengths at this level Sept. 25th at Los Alamitos. It was his best since coming back to the West Coast off a two-month break in late July, and speed/stalker may grab a share from his inside post at a very big price.
