2nd pick: #3 (Audacious Angel) (7-2) - Freshened up since April 10, she finished a non-threatening 3rd that day at this level and distance in a contest that was moved 'off the turf.' Filly was only beaten two-lengths in her previous start, which was her first ever on the grass.
3rd pick: #4 (Spindle) (20-1) - Longshot ran evenly when debuting here at this level May 5 sprinting on the dirt. Trainer Pete Miller switches her to the grass, and it's a surface she's bred to enjoy.
4th pick: #5 (Cover Song) (6-1) - Away slowly when debuting in late July at Del Mar, she finished far back in a race won by the 2yo filly champ in 2015 'Songbird.' This 3yo cost $450,000 in Sept. of 2014 and is bred to love the turf. She may improve dramatically in this spot.
5th pick: #1 (Always Dangerous) (6-1) - Blinkers go on filly who ran 2nd here in an 'off the turf' contest May 6. It was her first since a poor debut in early Sept. on the Del Mar grass. Stretch runner can factor with a 'clean' trip.
