It was his best since coming to No. America last fall and in his previous start he had missed by a 'head' here at this level and distance.
2nd pick: #8 (Crazy Uncle Rick) (10-1) - Long shot is lightly-raced and is facing winners and is on the grass both for the first time. He was a 6 length gate-to-wire maiden winner here going 5.5 furlongs on the dirt March 18 and he's bred to handle the turf as he's by 'Uncle Mo'. Think he can impact at a big price.
3rd pick: #6 (Calexman) (7-2) - Colt shortens up in distance and goes dirt to grass following a distant second place finish at this level going a mile on the local main track April 8. He broke his maiden at a mile on the Del Mar grass Nov. 24 in what is his only previous race in six starts on the turf.
4th pick: #2 (Axelrod) (4-1) - Another that has early speed, he missed by a long 'head' here at this level and distance April 6. It was his first since Oct. 20 he's only one of two along with 'Move Over' with more than one win. Florida bred colt must be left in the mix.
