2nd pick: #2 (Just a Bit Outside) (2-1) - Colt has only raced twice and both have came in the same pair as 'California Silver'. He was 1.5 lengths behind him on the dirt July 31, then was only a 1/2 length away from that rival Sept. 1 on the grass. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Salient) (7-2) - Gelding rallied to finish a close p third at this tag Sept. 8 at Los Alamitos. It was his first since debuting on the grass in late March and owner/trainer Ed Freeman has him making back-to-back starts for the first time. Must be left in the three horse mix.
