Colt raced evenly when finishing fourth when debuting in a dirt sprint on a sloppy track here Feb. 2. Given a two month break, he hopped at the break in his follow up on the grass April 6. Back on the main track, he meets a weak field an I like his chances.
2nd pick: #1 (Commanding Chief) (5-1) - A debuting son of 'Will Take Charge', he sold for $180,000 as a 2yo in training in March of 2018. He's been in steady training since late January, has the rail, and his trainer (John Sadler) is having an outstanding meet (31-of-119, 26%). It's noted that the very selective Victor Espinoza is aboard.
3rd pick: #3 (Still In the Game) (8-1) - He hopped at the break and tired after rushing up to contest the pace debuting here in a 6 furlong sprint March 29. He's worked five times since and may factor at a big price with an alert beginning.
