2nd pick: #8 (Miss Ava's Union) (9-2) - A $200,000 daughter of 'Union Rags,' she chased a quick pace before weakening to finish 2nd of eight, beaten just over four lengths when debuting here at six furlongs on Dec. 30. Trainer Rich Baltas has given her three months to grow and mature, and she's an obvious contender today.
3rd pick: #2 (Flat Out Joy) (5-1) - Filly chased a fast pace and held to check in 2nd of five, beaten by three lengths here at this level and distance Feb. 16. Daughter of 'Flat Out' has been working fast since and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #1 (Vangogo) (12-1) - Unraced since Aug. 11, she finished a close 3rd that day sprinting at Del Mar. This $100K purchase has early speed, breaks from the rail, and runs with blinkers off. A threat at a big price if ready.
