Irish import was bothered severely at the break in her first since Aug. 31 and first in No. America. Blinkers are added and she has a good shot at a juicy price.
2nd pick: #1 (Lady Mamba) (2-1) - This daughter of 'War Front' sold for an even $1,000,000 as a yearling back in Sept. of 2015 at Keeneland. She finished 2nd at this level and distance July 29 at Del Mar but hasn't raced since. Training above average, 4-year-old is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Achira) (5-2) - Lightly-raced 4-year-old daughter of 'English Channel' rallied strongly while wide to miss by a 'neck' in the same last race as the troubled 'Chalky'. Moss home bred is a contender with Mike Smith replacing Gary Stevens who is riding this winter at Oaklawn.
4th pick: #5 (Golden Kitten) (6-1) - Improving filly ships back from Golden Gate Fields where she rallied from close range to miss by a 1/2 length Dec. 31. $250K daughter of 'Kitten's Joy' must be left in the mix.
