Homebred has had wide trips in all those attempts and has a ground-saving post for the first time. Gelding worked fast Feb 1, presumably with the blinkers on that he wears today in 'live' action.
2nd pick: #5 (Descartes) (6-1) - Price play moves back in with fellow Cal breds after a pair of good efforts facing 'open' company. Reddam home bred fits and is a serious win candidate at a square price.
3rd pick: #3 (Rocks and Salt) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite, he rallied to finish second here at this level and distance Jan 12. Homebred was just under a length in front of 'Tropical Terror' and a fast/and or contested pace would help his stretch running style out.
4th pick: #7 (Squared Straight) (15-1) - Longshot had a very wide trip when well behind both 'Descartes' and 'Tropical Terror' Jan 11. Colt has blinkers on and may get a slice of this with a better trip.
