Top pick: #4 (SISTER MOON) - The probable favorite left quite an impression when she went wire-to-wire at Del Mar on August 21 to win by almost 10 lengths in very fast time when making her debut. Home-bred by "Dixie Union" is working very fast locally for this small stakes and owner/breeder Jerry Moss and trainer John Sadler look like they have another classy filly on their hands.

2nd pick: #2 (Nicos Memory) - She defeated a field of fillies on the Fairplex dirt Sept. 18, then raced evenly here last out going a mile on the grass facing male rivals. Trainer Doug O'Neill brings her back in seven days, switches her back to the dirt, and cuts her back in distance. Can factor at a nice price.

3rd pick: #1 (Ismene) - Heavily bet in her debut at Del Mar on August 13, she stalked, bid, and drew off to a 2 1/2 length win over a field of Cal-bred special weights. Working nicely on this strip, she has the rail and Valenzuela stays put.
